43,500 assets across a 600,000 sq ft NHS estate

ML10 captured 43,500 assets across a 600,000 sq ft NHS estate spanning multiple buildings. The conventional route was a three-person survey team working for four to six weeks; with ML10 one person walked the site with a mobile recording and the inventory came back in four to six days. The cost was £10,000 against £45,000 for the manual survey — a £35,000 saving on a single estate.

What this replaced

An estate of this size is exactly where manual asset surveys break down. Six hundred thousand square feet across multiple buildings is more than a survey team can hold in its head, and by the time the last building is counted the first has changed. The register is out of date before it is signed off.

Because the ML10 capture is a walk-through recording rather than a specialist survey, repeating it when the estate changes is a matter of walking the site again — which is what turns an asset register from a periodic project into something that stays current.

Outcome

A recorded digital twin asset register covering every asset across the estate, rather than a spreadsheet that begins ageing the day it is finished.
